Student Council is an extracurricular activity that promotes good citizenship and builds strong school spirit in a way that represents the ideas and interests of the student body. Selection takes place in the fall for all fifth and sixth grade students. Student Council members participate in events such as organizing the Holiday Canned Food Collection and other activities that create an overall positive school community and generates lasting memories.

Mr Aaron Haar and Mrs. Gernheuser are the advisors for Student Council.

The Soaring Times is the student newspaper, founded during the 2014-2015 school year, and supervised by Mrs Bittel.

A hard working group of 5th and 6th graders are chosen through an application process. Members of The Soaring Times are responsible for interviews, photography, editing and proofreading. They also assist in selling the newspaper during lunch.

The yearbook staff is led by a dedicated group of fifth and sixth students who oversee the sales, design, photography, caption writing, editing, and production of the yearbook each year. Students are given tasks and asked to complete the tasks by an assigned deadline each month. They work together individually and as a team to capture the important moments of the school year. This enriches the students by allowing them to work in an area of interest, while teaching them responsibility and experience, which will later be necessary in their own lives. In the fall, interested students complete a rigorous five-step process to apply for yearbook staff positions.

YOUTH TO YOUTH was founded in 1982 in Columbus, Ohio as a community-based drug prevention and youth leadership program focusing primarily on middle school and high school students. The goal of its many projects is harnessing the powerful influence of peer pressure-- making it a positive force that encourages young people to make positive life choices.

The Youth to Youth program at Eisenhower Intermediate School will meet a minimum of once a month after school for 45 minutes. To better prepare for and promote Red Ribbon Week, we will meet the first four weeks in October. We hope to incorporate community building activities as well as community service through outreach into the program.
